How Boston Technologies Stacks Up

Boston, MA January 5, 2012

As Boston Technologies looks forward to 2012 we can already tell it will be an exciting year. We will be launching new products and services, expanding our offerings to new areas of the globe and expanding the already fantastic pool of talent that makes up the staff at Boston Technologies.

Boston Technologies has seen tremendous growth, growing by 25% in 2011. We did a litte research recently to see how we stack up to other technology companies and the results were surprising:

Composition

Chart depicting Boston Technologies in comparison to industry averages

In the chart above (as well as the chart below) Boston Technologies is represented by the green arrows and the blue arrows represent technology companies of a similar maturity and size. This chart shows that the industry average of the percentage of staffing that is occupied by research and development is 31%. At Boston Terchnology our research and development staff represents 45% of our team. This means that we have more people in our office creating and supporting products for you, than most technology companies. How can we do this? We have only 33% of our staff represented by general and administration positions compared to 52% that you see with most tech companies. Our sales team is slightly larger than most technology companies, but it should be noted that these business intelligence experts don't abandon our new business once they sign on the dotted line. Our BT team walk our customers through deployment and assist in supporting them after they've been deployed. Finally, you can see that our executive team is just a bit smaller than in other technology companies.

Experience & Education

Boston Technologies' team is not only highly educated but also highly experienced. We have 13% more staff with 5-10 years experience in FX and finance technology. BT's team has 12% more Bachelor's Degrees and 1% more Master's Degrees than typical technology companies.

As Boston Technologies moves into the new year we intend on keeping up with the high standards that have been set in the previous years by continuing to bring in the most experienced, most knowledgable and most educated people we can. We do this not just for bragging rights, but to make sure that we can provide our customers with the most advanced, experienced, and creative team in the FX technology industry.
